| On 9/12/26, Junior Firefighter Caiden Rickard, son of Firefighter Donny Baney and social member Amanda Rickard, led a team of volunteers (all volunteers not pictured), along with members of Scout Troop 43, in completing an outstanding service project at the Philipsburg Cemetery as part of his Eagle Scout Project.
Together, the team cleaned an incredible 250 Veterans’ headstones, helping to preserve these important memorials and ensure that the service and sacrifice of our Veterans continue to be remembered and honored.
In addition to organizing and leading the project, Caiden raised more than $1,000 through fundraising efforts and generous donations from members of the community. He also collected enough donated supplies to assemble six complete headstone-cleaning kits.
The six cleaning kits, along with the money raised, will be donated to the Philipsburg Cemetery to support future cemetery maintenance. This will allow the impact of Caiden’s project to continue long after the project itself is complete. |
