Call # 6. BLAIR BOX 36, Initially reported as a 13-40 box.

While on scene at the previous accident a PennDot truck stopped and advised us of a vehicle over the embankment at the bottom of the Sandy Ridge Mountain at the 4900 BLK Tyrone Pike. Chief 13-1 and AMB 13-1 cleared the first accident scene and proceeded to the second accident report. Chief 13-1 and AMB 13-1 arrived on scene. Found one SUV over the northbound embankment by approximately 150-200 feet. One occupant found to be entrapped in the vehicle with injury. Chief 13-1 immediately requested the Rescue Box be dispatched sending BLAIR 36 as this was in their area. Chief 13-1 also requested ER 13 to respond as we were in the area on a previous accident. ER 13 arrived on scene and crew went to work removing the driver's side door and part of the roof with spreaders and cutters to free the patient from the vehicle. ER 36 arrived on scene and assisted with rigging up ropes in order to extricate patient up over the embankment to the awaiting EMS unit. Extrication was complete in 23 minutes from the arrival of ER 13.
